Dax Camarsi

President

President of the Fil-Can Cultural Heritage Society, is a newcomer to Canada with a lifelong dedication to community service. With a background as a senior executive in multinational companies and as a proud member of the Knights of Columbus since 1999, Dax brings a humble passion for making a difference. Deeply committed to supporting the elderly and preserving cultural heritage, he strives to foster unity and leave a legacy of care and charitable works that uplift the community.

Rey Fortaleza

Vice-President

Rey Fortaleza, a former Olympic boxer with multiple gold medals, immigrated to Canada in 1990 and became a respected entrepreneur and community leader in British Columbia.

He established a successful independent insurance brokerage in Surrey and expanded into media, publishing newspapers and magazines, producing TV shows, and organizing concerts featuring top performers from Manila. Through these ventures, he has helped connect and enrich the Filipino community in Canada. Reflecting on his journey, he emphasizes the importance of adaptability and understanding the needs of his community.

Roldan Robles

As Vice President of FCCHS, I, Roldan Robles, am dedicated to playing a vital role in this Filipino organization which strives to promote Filipino culture and social events. We are committed to empowering all Filipinos in our community towards a unified purpose.

Andrew de Jesus

Secretary

Andrew is currently pursuing Graduate Studies in Global Business Management at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. With a Bachelor’s in Broadcasting and over 7 years of experience in TV production, social media, and event hosting, he brings a strong background in media and community engagement.

As secretary of the Filipino Canadian Cultural Heritage Society (FCCHS), Andrew plays an active role in organizing cultural events and outreach initiatives. Known for his reliability and attention to detail, he’s a trusted leader who combines media expertise with business insight to create meaningful, culturally-driven projects.

Lita Cabal

Lita Cabal has 27 years of IT experience, specializing in automation to improve business efficiency. Her expertise drives transformative change in work processes.

Currently, she is seeking nomination as a Member of Parliament for Fleetwood-Port Kells under the Conservative Party of Canada. A lifelong community advocate, she has led initiatives since high school. She also serves as Treasurer for FCCHS and is part of the organizing committee for the Surrey Fiesta Extravaganza 2024, promoting cultural unity and celebration.

As a former city council candidate and FCCHS board member, I am dedicated to improving quality of life for families, new immigrants, and the underrepresented.

As a Sub-Mortgage Broker at Citadel Mortgages, I help clients navigate complex financial landscapes to secure the best outcomes. Fluent in English and Tagalog, I bridge cultural divides to promote financial empowerment. Success is best when shared—Mabuhay ang FCCHS at tayong lahat!

Primarosa Francisco Roine

Member, Board of Directors

Primarosa, born in Manila, earned a B.S. in Journalism from UST but followed her father’s advice to pursue Education. By 19, she was teaching at Concordia College and Adamson University, later spending a decade at Santa Isabel College. She became Vice Principal and Dean of Student Affairs at Concordia before moving to Australia in 1988.

In 1990, she immigrated to Canada, married Rodney Roine, and joined Sacred Heart School in Ladner. An active parishioner at Our Lady of Good Counsel, she has served as ADMA president, Salesian Cooperators secretary, FCCHS president, and Adamson University alumni president.

Philip Razon

Philip has educated advisors, companies, groups, business owners, families and seniors across Canada. With expertise working in Corporate Finance, Philip held National and local positions. For two decades Phil advocates for seniors, and small businesses and effectively provides education in estate, business and family needs.

As the President of Jacob Warren Financial Inc. Philip leads an Advisor General Agency of professional financial planners and advisors and works with other professionals to compliment the practice. Philip is a first generation Filipino Canadian born in Winnipeg Manitoba. Phil is an advocate in the Filipino community spreading awareness and providing alternative solutions for financial advisors.
